Pages
The Pages App is River's rich document editor. Build polished documents with headings, lists, embeds, code, math, images, and tables — all multiplayer in real time, all reasonable-over by AI.
Pages is what you reach for when something deserves structure: a launch announcement, a PRD, an investor update, a proposal, a long-form essay.
What you can put in a Page#
- Text formatting — headings, bold/italic, lists, blockquotes, code, links
- Embeds — images, videos, audio, files, linked entities
- Code blocks with syntax highlighting
- Math — inline

Multiplayer co-editing#
Pages are Y.js documents. Multiple people (and AI agents) can edit the same Page at the same time, with cursor presence, live updates, and zero conflicts. Drop a colleague into a Page mid-edit and you see exactly what they're typing.
AI in Pages#
The AI is built into the editor:
- Highlight + Cmd I — rewrite, expand, or summarize a selection
- Slash → AI — generate text inline ("draft a paragraph about X")
- SpaceChat — ask the AI to read or edit the Page from outside ("tighten the intro of the launch doc")
The AI sees your Page as part of the same entity tree, so it can pull in context from elsewhere — recent emails, related Tasks, linked Contacts — without you having to attach them.
Sharing#
Share a Page with:
- Anyone in your Dataspace — full edit
- Specific people in your Dataspace — view or edit, your choice
- Guests — invite by email; they get a guest Dataspace with just that Page
- Public link — read-only, anyone with the URL
Sharing flows through the same Dataspace permission model as everything else.
Pages vs. Notes vs. Docs#

You can promote between them: a Note that's outgrowing its lane can become a Page. A Page that has matured into a reference can become a Doc.
Tips#
- Use / generously. Slash commands are faster than menus.
- For external-facing documents, share via public link rather than exporting — the link stays live as the doc evolves.
- Co-write with the AI: highlight a paragraph and ask it to "make this more concrete" or "add a counterpoint." Move fast in alternating beats.
